I believe all children have the right to a quality education that allows them to compete in the marketplace.
I believe a child’s level of education will impact his or her lifetime earnings.
I believe we must teach our children to develop wisdom and good judgement in addition to knowledge.
I believe as a state we must treat education as a form of economic development.
We must have an ongoing commitment to enhancing technology in our schools so students are technology competent.
Education funding in our state must continue to be a high priority for the legislature, accepting the challenge that as revenue streams can fluctuate from year to year, our commitment must remain strong.

I support agriculture which represents a large majority of South Dakota’s economy.
I support value-added technologies that grow the value of our agricultural products.
I support recreational projects that don’t negatively affect agriculture, fish, and wildlife while respecting property owners affected by such projects.
I support continued development and funding of our water resources that ensure sufficient water quality and quantity for economic development and quality of life.

Economic development is the economic engine that drives our state’s economy.
Promoting tourism in our state contributes to our economic growth and must be a priority of our state.
State corporate income taxes and state personal income taxes limit economic growth, therefore I oppose these taxes.
I support our state’s constitution right to work provision.

The care of our state’s special needs citizens must continue to be addressed in a positive manner.
We must wisely manage our daily activities in the Covid19 era being mindful of others while working to live life in a practical and rational manner.
I believe individual states should determine its local healthcare needs and develop a health-care plan designed to meet those needs.
I believe a child’s parents are the most vital aspect to a child’s life. Our state must strengthen its efforts to help parents recognize their critical role to the wellbeing of their child.
